RUTA MAGAZINE
Ruta (the Spanish word for “route”) was the final project for a print design class. The assignment involved designing a nine-page magazine spread on a topic of our choice, and I created a travel guide about Peru from a local’s perspective. I wanted to move away from tourist clichés and highlight places and experiences in a way that felt more personal and authentic. I designed the magazine primarily in Adobe InDesign, with additional work in Photoshop and Illustrator. Most of the photos were taken by me, and one of the spreads features a custom map of Lima that I designed from scratch. This project blended my pride in my home country with my love for editorial design, maps, and photography. It is one of my favorite pieces.
